data protection

We are pleased that you have visited our website and thank you for your interest in our services. We would like to offer you a comprehensive service while protecting your privacy. We assure you that your personal data will be treated confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.

The legal basis for data protection can be found in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

1. SCOPE

This privacy policy applies to the use of the websites offered by KLOTZ LABS Kosmetikmanufaktur GmbH, Oselstrasse 34, 81245 Munich under the URL klotz-labs.com, hereinafter referred to as "websites". It does not apply to third-party websites, even if our websites refer to third-party websites or contain links to information.

2. PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is information about the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your email address, your address details and the IP address of your device. Information that we cannot (or can only with disproportionate effort) establish a connection to you personally, e.g. by anonymizing the information, is not personal data.

2.1. KLOTZ LABS INDIVIDUAL DATA COLLECTION

We do not share any personal data collected during the configuration process for a KLOTZ LABS INDIVIDUAL product with anyone.

3. COLLECTION OF DATA

When you visit our websites, your web browser automatically transmits the IP address of the device you are using, information about the web browser you are using, operating system, as well as the referrer URL (i.e. the URL of the website you previously visited), the date and time of your visit. This data is temporarily stored in the so-called log files on the server. We or our provider use this log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, securing and optimizing our websites. In specific suspected cases, we will also evaluate this data in order to track any cases of misuse and/or illegal use of our websites. However, the data is not assigned to specific people and is not merged with data from other data sources.

The use of our websites is therefore largely anonymous.

Otherwise, we only collect and process personal data to the extent that this is necessary for the establishment, implementation and termination of the legal obligation between you and us or to protect our legitimate interests or if you otherwise voluntarily provide us with data. In particular, we will use your personal data as part of order processing, for example to send you an appropriate email confirmation of your order and to keep you up to date on the status of your order by email. Furthermore, we will pass your data on to our shipping service provider for the delivery of the ordered goods and to the payment institution commissioned to process the payment. Apart from that, we will only pass your data on to third parties, except in the cases mentioned in this data protection declaration, if and to the extent that you have consented to the data being passed on. We use modern security methods to prevent any unauthorized disclosure of data to third parties outside our company as best as possible.

4. REGISTRATION

You can set up a personal user account on our websites. The user account enables you to speed up the ordering process and provides you with information about your past orders and access to your settings. To create a user account, please enter the data requested in the corresponding registration form (first and last name or company details, email address, your address and a password of your choice). To verify that you are the correct registrant, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that your user account will only be created and activated after you activate a confirmation link that we will send you by email.

When you register, we will also create a user profile for you in which we may combine and save all of your previous and future activities on our websites (e.g. participation in special promotions and competitions, registration for our newsletter, orders, comments and reviews, etc.). You can view the contents of your user profile at any time. If you would like to delete your user account, please contact us. We will then delete all data linked to the user profile.

5. CONTACT

You can contact us by email, telephone or in writing. We also offer you the option of contacting us via our web-based contact form. So that we can process your request quickly and as best as possible, we ask for personal data, such as your name and email address. You can also enter your individual message to us in the message field.

In this case, we will use your personal data solely to answer your enquiries to your satisfaction. It is generally your free choice which data you share with us. However, we ask for your understanding that we will not process any further contact requests that are incomplete or obviously incorrect.

6. COMMENTS AND RATINGS

You can leave comments and reviews about our products on our websites. We ask you to enter your name and email address. We will also record and save your IP address. The query and storage of this data serves our security, just in case a user spreads unauthorized comments and postings, e.g. insults or prohibited political propaganda. In this case, we could be held liable for this unauthorized comment. We are therefore interested in identifying the true author of the respective comment or helping to identify him.

7. NEWSLETTER

In our newsletter, which you can subscribe to if you are interested, we will inform you at regular intervals about our offer, in particular about new products and promotions and other news on the subject of high-quality cosmetics.

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we need your email address and confirmation that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. When you register, we also save your IP address and the date and time of your registration. This is for our security in case a third party misuses your email address and registers for our newsletter without your consent. We do not collect any other data. Your data is only collected for the purpose of being able to send you the newsletter and to document our authorization to do so. The data will not be passed on to third parties. We will also not compare the data with other data that we collect elsewhere as part of your use of our websites. However, we will note your registration in your customer account.

You can revoke your subscription to the newsletter and your consent to the storage of your email address at any time with effect for the future by clicking on the corresponding unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by informing us of your wish to unsubscribe by email to hallo@klotz-labs.com.

8. COOKIES

Our websites work with so-called "cookies". Cookies are small units of information that your browser automatically stores in your computer's memory. Cookies differ in terms of how long they are stored for. The storage period for the cookies we use varies from the period of the current browser session on our websites (so-called session cookies) to several days and years.

Cookies serve different functions. The cookies we use are necessary for the user-friendliness of the websites. For example, a cookie can "remember" the settings you have made and the contents of your virtual shopping cart so that you do not have to re-enter the information each time. Apart from that, the cookies we use are mainly for analysis purposes, which enable us to evaluate user behavior on our websites and thus to continually improve our websites.

We use cookies that cannot be used across domains (so-called first-party cookies) as well as cookies that can be used and read by other domains (so-called third-party cookies).

Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. You can disable cookies or set your browser to notify you before cookies are saved. Users who do not accept cookies may not be able to use certain services on our websites or may not be able to access certain areas of our websites.

9. SOCIAL PLUGINS

We use so-called “social plugins” on our websites. These are currently the plugins for the services Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest. These plugins may send information, which may also include personal data, to the social media providers and may be used by them. We prevent the unconscious and unwanted collection and transfer of data to the service providers using a “2-click solution”. In order to activate a desired plugin, it must first be activated by clicking on the corresponding switch. Only when the plugin is activated does the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider occur. We do not collect any personal data ourselves using the social plugins or through their use.

To the best of our knowledge and according to the information provided by the social media services, they do not collect or store any personal data unless you are logged into your social media account and unless you have activated the plug-in. Only when you are connected to your account and have activated the plug-in as described can your browser transfer specific information, such as posts on our websites, comments as well as your IP address and other information to the servers of the social media provider. The social media provider can record and store this information, assign it to your user account and the personal data stored there, and make it available to the public. In some cases, the social media providers place a cookie on your device to record and track your surfing behavior on our websites. Please note that we have no influence whatsoever on the data collected by the respective social media provider.

10. GOOGLE PRODUCTS

a) Google Analytics

Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA (hereinafter referred to as "Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies" which are stored on your computer and enable analysis of the use of our websites. For this purpose, some personal data is collected by Google and forwarded to its servers in the United States of America. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on this data. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

IP anonymization is activated by default on our websites. Your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and then transmitted to Google in anonymized form. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to Google and shortened there.

You can prevent cookies from being saved by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, this may prevent you from being able to use our websites to their full extent. In addition, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

b) Google AdWords/Remarketing and Google AdSense/DoubleClick

We also use Google's services to provide usage-based online advertising on your computer.

These services allow the anonymous recognition of your browser and thus record information about your activities on the websites you visit (e.g. surfing behavior, subpages of our website visited, etc.). This data is used to create user profiles under a pseudonym that do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you and therefore do not allow any personal identification.

The information generated by the cookies about your use of these websites (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on Google's behalf. However, Google will not combine your IP address with other data stored about you.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage.

This process allows anonymous re-addressing on the one hand (as part of the "Google Remarketing" or "Google AdWords" products) on Google's websites and on the other hand (as part of the "Google AdSense" or "Doubleclick" products) on our websites and - depending on your interests - when you visit other partners' websites. Your browser is identified when the ad is delivered and assigned to a target group. This information enables the targeted delivery of advertisements that are more relevant and interesting to you.

You can object to the collection and storage of data by Google at any time with effect for the future by accessing your Google ad settings at www.google.de/settings/ads and deactivating the display of interest-based advertising by Google under "Deactivation settings". This will prevent Google from displaying targeted advertising for you. An opt-out cookie will then be set that prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website. Please note that if you delete all cookies, the deactivation cookie will also be deleted and must be saved again if necessary.
