Privacy Policy

We appreciate your visit to our websites and thank you for your interest in our products. We want to offer you a comprehensive service while protecting your privacy. We assure you that your personal data will be treated confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

The legal basis for data protection can be found in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).

1. SCOPE

This privacy policy applies to the use of the websites offered by KLOTZ LABS® PLEXUM GmbH, Breslauer Straße 350, 90471 Nuremberg under the URL klotz-labs.com, hereinafter referred to as “websites”. It does not apply to third-party websites, even if our websites refer to third-party websites or link to information.

2. PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is specific information about personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your e-mail address, your address data, and the IP address of your device. Information where we cannot establish a connection to your person (or only with disproportionate effort), e.g., by anonymising the information, is not personal data.

2.1. KLOTZ LABS INDIVIDUAL DATA COLLECTION

The personal data collected as part of the configuration process for a KLOTZ LABS INDIVIDUAL product will not be passed on to anyone by us.

3. COLLECTION OF DATA

When you visit our websites, your web browser automatically transmits the IP address of the device you are using, information about the web browser you are using, the operating system, as well as the referrer URL (i.e., the URL of the website you previously visited), the date and time of your visit. This data is temporarily stored in so-called log files on the server. We or our provider only use this log data for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security, and optimisation of our websites. In specific cases of suspicion, we will also evaluate this data to pursue any cases of abuse and/or illegal use of our websites. However, the data is not assigned to specific persons and is not merged with data from other data sources.

The use of our websites is therefore largely anonymous.

Otherwise, we only collect and process personal data insofar as this is necessary for the establishment, execution, and termination of the legal obligation between you and us or to protect our legitimate interests, or if you voluntarily provide us with data in any other way. In particular, we will use your personal data as part of order processing, for example, to send you a corresponding e-mail confirmation of your order and to keep you up to date on the status of your order by e-mail. Furthermore, we will communicate your data to our shipping service provider for the delivery of the ordered goods and to the payment institution commissioned with the payment processing. Otherwise, except in the cases mentioned in this privacy policy, we will only pass on your data to third parties if and insofar as you have consented to the data transfer. Unauthorised disclosure of data to third parties outside our company is prevented by us as best as possible using modern security methods.

4. REGISTRATION

You can set up a personal user account on our websites. The user account allows you an accelerated ordering process and offers you information on your past orders and access to your settings. To create a user account, please enter the data requested in the corresponding registration form (first and last name or company details, e-mail address, your address, and a password chosen by yourself). To verify you as the correct registrant, we use the so-called double opt-in process. This means that your user account will only be created and activated after you have clicked an activation link that we send you by e-mail.

With your registration, we will also create a user profile for you, in which we may merge and store all your past and future activities on our websites (e.g., participation in special promotions and competitions, subscription to our newsletter, orders, comments, and reviews, etc.). You can view the contents of your user profile at any time. If you wish to delete your user account, please contact us. We will then delete all data linked to the user profile.

5. CONTACT

You can contact us by e-mail, telephone, or in writing. In addition, we offer you the option of contacting us via our web-based contact form. So that we can process your request quickly and in the best possible way, we ask for personal data, such as your name and your e-mail address. You can also enter your individual message to us in the message field.

In this case, we use your personal data exclusively to answer your enquiries to your satisfaction. It is generally your free decision which data you provide us with. However, we ask for your understanding that we will not process incomplete or recognisably false contact requests any further.

6. COMMENTS AND REVIEWS

You can leave comments and reviews on our products on our websites. We ask you to enter your name and your e-mail address. In addition, we will also record and store your IP address. The collection and storage of this data serves our security, just in case a user spreads unauthorised comments and postings, e.g., insults or prohibited political propaganda. In this case, we could be held liable for this unauthorised comment. Therefore, we are interested in identifying the true author of the respective comment or contributing to their identification.

7. NEWSLETTER

In our newsletter, which you can subscribe to if you are interested, we inform you at regular intervals about our range, in particular about new products and promotions, and about other news relating to high-quality cosmetics.

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require your e-mail address as well as confirmation that you are the owner of the specified e-mail address and agree to receive the newsletter. When you register, we also store your IP address as well as the date and time of your registration. This serves our security in case a third party misuses your e-mail address and subscribes to our newsletter without your knowledge. No further data is collected by us. Your data is only collected for the purpose of being able to send you the newsletter and to document our authorisation in this regard. The data will not be passed on to third parties. We will also not compare the data with other data that we collect elsewhere as part of your use of our websites. However, we will note your registration in your customer account.

You can revoke your subscription to the newsletter and your consent to the storage of your e-mail address at any time with effect for the future by clicking the corresponding unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by sending us your unsubscribe request by e-mail to hallo@klotz-labs.com.

8. COOKIES

Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small pieces of information that your browser automatically stores in your computer's memory. Cookies differ in terms of the duration of their storage. The storage duration of the cookies we use varies between the period of the current browser session on our websites (so-called session cookies) up to a few days and years.

Cookies serve different functionalities. The cookies we use are necessary for the user-friendliness of the websites. For example, a cookie can “remember” the settings you have made and also the contents of your virtual shopping basket so that you do not have to enter the information again every time. Otherwise, the cookies we use mainly serve analysis purposes, which enable us to evaluate user behaviour on our websites and thus continuously improve our websites.

We use cookies that cannot be used across domains (so-called first-party cookies) as well as those that can be used and read by other domains (so-called third-party cookies).

Most browsers are pre-set to automatically accept cookies. You can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser so that it notifies you before cookies are stored. Users who do not accept cookies may not be able to use certain services on our websites or may not be able to access certain areas of our websites.

9. SOCIAL PLUGINS

We use so-called “social plugins” on our websites. Currently, these are the plugins of the services Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest. Information, which may also include personal data, may be sent to the social media providers via these plugins and possibly used by them. We prevent the unconscious and unwanted collection and transmission of data to the service providers through a “2-click solution”. To activate a desired plugin, it must first be activated by clicking on the corresponding switch. Only through this activation of the plugin is the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider triggered. We do not collect any personal data ourselves via the social plugins or their use.

To the best of our knowledge and according to the information provided by the social media services, they do not collect and store any personal data as long as you are not logged into your social media account and as long as you have not activated the plugin. Only when you are connected to your account and have activated the plugin as described can your browser transmit specific information, such as posts on our websites, comments, as well as your IP address and other information to the servers of the social media provider. The social media provider can record and store this information, assign it to your user account and the personal data stored there, and make it available to the public. In some cases, social media providers place a cookie on your device to record and track your surfing behaviour on our websites. Please note that we have no influence whatsoever on the data collected by the respective social media provider.

Please refer to Twitter's privacy policy for details on what data is collected and how it is used: twitter.com/privacy. Options for protecting your privacy can be found at: twitter.com/settings

The Google+ social plugin, recognisable by a stylised “g+”, establishes a connection to Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for details on what data is collected and how it is used: http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. 10. GOOGLE PRODUCTS

a) Google Analytics

Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA (hereinafter referred to as “Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of our websites. For this purpose, some personal data is collected by Google and forwarded to its servers in the United States of America. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile this data in reports. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

IP anonymisation is activated by default on our websites. Your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and passed on to Google in anonymised form. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to Google and shortened there.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. However, you may then not be able to use our websites to their full extent. In addition, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the websites (incl. your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

b) Google AdWords/Re-Marketing and Google AdSense/DoubleClick

We also use Google's services for usage-based online advertising on your computer.

These services allow the anonymous recognition of your browser and thus collect information about your activities on the websites you visit (e.g., surfing behaviour, visited subpages of our internet offer, etc.). From this data, usage profiles are created under a pseudonym, which do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person and thus no personal identification.

The information generated by the cookies about your use of these websites (including your IP address) and delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored by you.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators, and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

This procedure allows anonymous re-targeting on the one hand (within the scope of the products “Google Remarketing” or “Google AdWords”) on Google's websites and on the other hand (within the scope of the products “Google AdSense” or “Doubleclick”) on our websites and – depending on your interests – during your visits to websites of other partners. Here, your browser is identified during ad delivery and assigned to a target group. With the help of this information, the targeted delivery of advertisements that are more relevant and interesting to you is made possible.

You can object to the data collection and storage by Google at any time with effect for the future by calling up your ad settings at Google at www.google.com/settings/ads and deactivating the display of interest-based advertising by Google under “Opt-out settings”. This will prevent Google from displaying targeted advertising to you. An opt-out cookie is then set, which prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website. Please note that if you delete all cookies, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted and must be saved again if necessary.
