- We use hyaluron as a super concentrate. A higher dosage is biochemically hardly feasible – and does not make sense from a cosmetic perspective. Hyaluron itself has very strong water-binding properties; it extremely refreshes the skin's moisture reserves. This is the reason for its wrinkle-reducing and skin-smoothing effect.
- We combine hyaluron with the best absorption substances that optimise the uptake of hyaluron into the skin layers.
- The interaction of hyaluron with other special cell- and skin-active, protective ingredients.
These three factors result in the unique KLOTZ LABS formula – it is the basis of our products.
Hyaluron (Hyaluronic Acid)

Hyaluron is the main ingredient in our products. Therefore, it is important to us to explain exactly how and why the anti-ageing marvel hyaluron works so well.
What does the human body need hyaluron for?
Hyaluron – also known as hyaluronic acid or HA – is a natural building block of the human body. Strictly speaking, a very important one. Why? Because hyaluron is part of our extracellular matrix. It occurs in and between almost all body cells and acts there as an ingenious all-rounder – biochemically and mechanically. For example, hyaluron is a component of cartilage and joints, where it acts as a biological lubricant and shock absorber. In addition, hyaluron supplies the widely distributed collagen in the body with nutrients and keeps it in good condition. It is also a substance in the vitreous body of the eye, which consists practically only of water – and 2% hyaluron. However, the largest proportion of hyaluron, approx. 50%, is found in our skin.
What is hyaluron?
From an organic biochemical perspective, hyaluron (a more general term for hyaluronic acid) is a natural chain of carbohydrates, the polysaccharides. These play an important role for plants, animals, and humans. They are characterised by the fact that they are macromolecules, i.e., they consist of thousands of molecules. Why is this so interesting for us as a cosmetics manufacturer and for you as a consumer? Because hyaluron, as a hydrophilic, i.e., "water-loving", macromolecule, can grow into extremely long chains and bind substances – such as aqua.
What exactly is the mode of action of hyaluron based on?
Relative to its molecular mass, hyaluron can bind very large amounts of water – up to 6000 times its weight. That is 6 litres per gram! In short: hyaluron constantly supplies the skin with moisture. Even at a low concentration, it forms a viscous gel that serves the skin as an immense water-storing building block. With increasing age, under stress, or unfavourable environmental influences, the skin's ability to produce HA decreases. Re-supplied hyaluron reactivates the skin's moisture-retaining power. It triggers a swelling effect that "enlarges" the skin, bulging it outwards, so to speak. Through this effect, it is plumped up and smoothed.
How well does hyaluron work?
In short: hyaluron works excellently! And it is proven: as a natural substance that reduces the wrinkle depth of the skin and evens out its appearance. The skin is strengthened from below, the complexion becomes younger and more beautiful. The mode of action of hyaluron is independent of the skin type. It also works equally well for women and men, although the anti-ageing effects can be more intense on younger, thinner skin.
Can hyaluron reduce the appearance of scars?
Since hyaluron – simply put – evens out irregularities using water, this plumping mechanism also works when the skin layers are stressed. Hyaluron has proven itself well in skincare practice for the cosmetic care of fresh scars, as truly effective and fast-acting. At the same time, the water cushion forms a protective barrier that shields the cells from the damaging effects of environmental toxins, free radicals, and UV radiation, while facilitating the transport of substances between the cells. The supply of important nutrients to the cells and the removal of waste products are improved, as hyaluron serves as a kind of sliding track for the transport of other substances. Thus, hyaluron also improves the soothing properties and natural protective mechanisms of the skin and accelerates its recovery processes. Redness and fine lines are reduced, the skin appears plumper and more elastic.
The lengthy recovery process for the appearance of scars can thus be optimised by hyaluron.
How is hyaluron best supplied to the skin?
Hyaluron can be applied externally to our skin, e.g., via serums, creams, or solutions. At KLOTZ LABS, we are convinced of the optimal efficacy of highly concentrated serums. We have developed a formulation that optimally transports hyaluron as a super concentrate together with a special absorption substance into the skin – the KLOTZ LABS formula. It is the basis for the effective yet gentle action of our hyaluron products.
How is KLOTZ LABS hyaluron produced? Why is its purity and origin so important?
Why can you trust KLOTZ LABS hyaluron cosmetics?
Our hyaluron is produced biotechnologically. This guarantees super concentration and purity. Since KLOTZ LABS hyaluron contains no animal proteins, it cannot trigger allergic reactions in this regard and is dermatologically highly tolerable even in high concentrations.
Why does hyaluron always need to be replenished?
Hyaluron is present in – and between – almost every body cell in varying concentrations; it is an organic substance. As such, it constantly rebuilds itself – but also breaks down, with different half-lives of 12 to 18 hours. This is relevant for us and for you in this respect: in the event of an undersupply to the skin, i.e., during the skin maturation process or in the case of heavily stressed skin, HA must be constantly replenished due to this turnover process.
