hyaluronan

What makes KLOTZ LABS hyaluronic cosmetics so unique?

  1. We use hyaluronic acid as a super concentrate. A higher dosage is hardly feasible from a biochemical point of view - and does not make sense from a cosmetic point of view. Hyaluronic acid itself has very strong water-binding properties, it extremely refreshes the skin's water reserves. This is the reason for the wrinkle-reducing and skin-smoothing effect.
  2. We combine hyaluronic acid with the best absorption substances that optimize the absorption of hyaluronic acid into the skin layers.
  3. The interaction of hyaluronic acid with other special cell and skin-active, protective ingredients.

These three factors create the unique KLOTZ LABS formula – it is the basis of our products.

Hyaluron (hyaluronic acid)

Hyaluronic acid molecule

Hyaluron is the main ingredient in our products. It is therefore important to us to explain to you exactly how and why the anti-aging cell miracle hyaluronic acid works so well.

Why do people need hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluron – also called hyaluronic acid or HA – is a building block of the human body. In fact, a very important one. Why? Because hyaluronic acid is part of our extracellular matrix. It is found in and between almost all cells in the body and acts as an ingenious all-rounder – biochemically and mechanically. Hyaluronic acid is a component of cartilage and joints, for example, where it acts as a biological lubricant and shock absorber. Hyaluronic acid also supplies the collagen, which is widespread in the body, with nutrients and keeps it healthy. It is also a skin substance in the vitreous body of the eye, which consists practically only of water and 2% hyaluronic acid. The largest proportion of hyaluronic acid, around 50%, is found in our skin.

What is hyaluronic acid?

From an organic biochemical point of view, hyaluronic acid (a more general term for hyaluronic acid) is a natural chain of carbohydrates, the polysaccharides. These play an important role for plants, animals and humans. They are characterized by the fact that they are macromolecules, i.e. they consist of thousands of molecules. Why is this so interesting for us as cosmetics manufacturers and for you as consumers? Because hyaluronic acid, as a hydrophilic, i.e. "water-loving", macromolecule, can grow to extremely long chains and bind substances - such as water.

What exactly is the effect of hyaluronic acid based on?

Hyaluron can bind very large amounts of water relative to its molecular mass - up to 6000 times. That's 6 liters per gram! In short: Hyaluron constantly supplies the skin with moisture. Even at low concentrations it forms a viscous gel that serves as an immense water-storing building block for the skin. As we age, under stress or unfavorable environmental influences, the skin's ability to produce HA decreases. Re-supplied hyaluronic acid reactivates the skin's moisture-storing power. It triggers a swelling effect that "enlarges" the skin, bulging it outwards, so to speak. This effect plumps up and smoothes it.

How well does hyaluronic acid work?

In short: Hyaluron works brilliantly! And it's proven: as a natural substance that reduces the depth of wrinkles in the skin and smoothes its appearance. The skin is strengthened from below, the complexion becomes younger and more beautiful. The way hyaluronic acid works is independent of the skin type. It also works equally well for women and men, although the anti-aging effects can be more intense on younger, thinner skin.

Can hyaluronic acid reduce scarring?

Since hyaluronic acid – to put it simply – evens out unevenness using water, this plumping mechanism also works when the dermis, epidermis or subcutaneous tissue is damaged. In medical practice, hyaluronic acid has proven to be very effective and quick to act in the treatment of fresh scars. At the same time, the water cushion forms a protective barrier that shields the cells from the damaging effects of environmental toxins, free radicals and UV radiation, while facilitating the transport of substances between the cells. The supply of important nutrients to the cells and the removal of waste and toxins is improved, as hyaluronic acid serves as a kind of slide rail for the transport of other substances. Hyaluron also improves the anti-inflammatory properties and immunological defense mechanisms of the skin and accelerates its healing processes. Redness and wrinkles are reduced, and the skin appears plumper and more elastic.
The lengthy healing process of scars can therefore be optimized with hyaluronic acid.

What is the best way to apply hyaluronic acid to the skin?

Hyaluron can be applied to our skin externally, for example via serums, creams or solutions. We at KLOTZ LABS are convinced of the optimal effectiveness of highly concentrated serums. We have developed a formula that optimally transports hyaluronic acid into the skin as a super concentrate together with a special absorption substance - the KLOTZ LABS formula. It is the basis for the effective yet gentle effect of our hyaluronic products.

How is KLOTZ LABS hyaluronic acid produced? Why is its purity and origin so important?
Why can you trust KLOTZ LABS hyaluronic cosmetics?

Our hyaluronic acid is produced using biotechnology. This guarantees super concentration and purity. Since KLOTZ LABS hyaluronic acid does not contain any animal proteins, it cannot trigger any allergic reactions and is dermatologically well tolerated even in high concentrations.

Why does hyaluronic acid always have to be replenished?

Hyaluron is present in – and between – almost every cell in the body in varying concentrations; it is an organic substance. As such, it is constantly being rebuilt – but also broken down, with varying half-lives of 12 to 18 hours. This is relevant for us and for you: If the skin is undersupplied, i.e. during the skin maturation process or when the skin is under a lot of stress, HA must be constantly replenished due to this change process.
